Eric K. Ward, Western States Center delivers 2021 K. Brooke Anderson Lecture

Religious Studies together with the Office of the Chaplain and Religious Life, Brown RISD Hillel, and Brown's Center for Truth, Racial Healing and Transformation are pleased to announce that Eric K. Ward of Western States Center will be delivering this year's K. Brooke Anderson Lecture.

Eruc WardK. Brooke Anderson was Executive Secretary of the Brown Christian Association from 1928 until 1957, a position in which he had a profound impact on the lives of many in the Brown community, students, faculty and staff alike.  The lecture series in his name, held annually focus on topics of interfaith relations, race relations, and world peace.  We're excited to invite the Brown Community and beyond to join us for a conversation on the urgency of this moment and our role in rescuing our democracy and one another.  Eric's lecture, titled "Why We Need Each Other: Tackling the Triple Threat of Racism, Misogny, and Antisemitism" will be followed by a discussion moderated by Matthew Shenoda, Associate Provost for Social Equity & Inclusion and SEI Advisor to the President, Rhode Island School of Design.  This year's lecture will be held virtually on Tuesday, April 6 at 7pm.  For the link to register and more information on Eric Ward, please visit https://www.brown.edu/academics/religious-studies/events-0/k-brooke-anderson-lecture
