The 2024 K. Brooke Anderson Lecture will be on Wednesday, December 4th (5:30pm in Friedman 102) and feature Anthea Butler, Professor in American Social Thought at the University of Pennsylvania titled “Religious Nationalisms, Race and the End of Democracy.”
A renowned historian of African American religion and American religious history, Professor Butler's work explores race, politics, and popular culture. Author of White Evangelical Racism: The Politics of Morality in America and frequent MSNBC contributor, she offers a vital perspective on religion in today's world.
